KO86 SiO2 ceramic textile sealant protects almost all types of textiles from water, dirt and stains - and remains invisible itself. It does not affect their appearance, breathability, color or feel in any way and is easy to care for. On outdoor fabrics, the coating is extremely water-repellent; this means they stay dry longer. Oil, coffee and other common stains are a thing of the past if textiles have been treated beforehand.

Application
Fabrics are often already processed in the factory and, for example, bleached (to create a “worn look”) or treated with starch (to make the clothes look better in the store).
In order to achieve the optimum effect of the seal, the textiles must be completely cleaned of such agents. The seal can then be washed in the washing machine for approx. 5-40 wash cycles with a short wash time, without detergent and at a maximum of 30°C.
The durability depends on the type of fabric, polyester fabrics have the longest durability. We recommend hand washing, which has the least impact on the coating and guarantees the longest durability.
1. Manual: Application by moistening the textile (spraying or dipping)
2. Industrial: Application by commercially available systems
This SiO2 coating is completely cross-linked and cured after 24 hours. The easy-to-clean effect can be tested for the first time after this curing phase.
Consumption:
100ml is enough for up to 3m², depending on the absorbency of the textile
